This video shows you how to exclude griefers from your Minecraft PE world, but still include your classmates or friends. The idea came from Art Schultz's son. 

Our Boundaries & Volcano (Minecraft PE) project had been interfered with some inappropriate activity by the students. Students from other classes would join their peers' Minecraft worlds and destroy their projects. We could have allowed the students to create their volcanos and plate boundaries with Wifi, but that would take away from their ability to research online. So I decided to have the teachers transform their MacBooks into a WiFi access point. Here are the steps you will need to take to do the same thing.  1. Click on the Apple icon () in the menu bar and click on  System Preferences . 2. Under  Internet & Wireless  click on  Sharing . 3. Then click on  Internet Sharing  on the left, and then choose mode of connection under  Share your connection from :. Next choose a mode of connection from the  To computers using: . Finally, you can click  Start .  You are now ready to go!

How It Started Mrs. Y asked me if we could incorporate Minecraft PE into her plate tectonics & volcano unit. I thought it would be great for students to create a diagram of a volcano and a plate tectonic boundary. So I decided to create the diagram over the weekend.  Steps in Creating the Minecraft Diagram  1. Find a seed that would be appropriate for the project  I googled "extreme hills seeds" for a world that would provide numerous mountains I can use for my volcano. I ended up finding seed# 975281896.   2.  Find a volcano and plate tectonic boundary diagrams   3.  I created my volcano diagram using a hill I found that depicts the vent, pipe, magma, and magma chamber.  4. I created the convergent boundary diagram that illustrates a plate submerging and melting into the asthenosphere.  5.
