"The goal of this session is to improve communication, collaboration, and quality of feedback." -Art Schultz This blog post showcases the presentation I created and used for the "Google Documents For Your Classroom" training session at my school.  It also contains a cheat sheet of different Google document features, and an example of what a document would look like if some of the features were used. If you use the "Multiple choice" option, form users can only select one option.    But if you select "Checkboxes" for the question, then users will be able to select multiple options.

With Google in Education's Classroom teachers can: -Create a class -Add students from your Google Apps account or with a class code, create assignments -Add a file from Drive, YouTube or webpage onto Classroom -Allow students to see assignments and complete them in Google Docs -Allow students to submit work automatically -See who turned in what in real time -Provide grades and feedback from Classroom

Virtual museums allow online visitors to explore and interact with digital exhibits that contain information about a collection of artifacts and other historical objects. A simple and effective way to create a virtual museum is to use Google Slides. The template I created consists of a title slide or museum lobby that contains links to the different rooms of the museum. 

Mrs. Mitchell's (goo.gl/EtZmWM) 3rd graders took on the role of architects and designed their own dream house. They were required to create a floor plan, find the perimeter and area of each room, and find the total cost of their house. Students used Room Styler (roomstyler.com) to create their house and choose the materials they wanted for their rooms (wall trim and floor material).
